I am absolutely thrilled that Simply Crochet Mag invited me to be an Ambassador for Granny Square Day 2024! For those who have been following me on my social accounts, you already know my deep passion for granny squares, so saying yes was a no-brainer! Let's make Granny Square Day 2024 the best one yet!
I was asked to create a square for the day to share with Simply Crochet Mag, I experimented one evening and developed The Spinning Square. Its name was inspired by the resemblance to my spinning wheel after completion, as I enjoy spinning fiber into yarn, which is why the name stuck!
It's a fun little pattern which is also great for using up scraps of yarn. For my square, I used DK yarn and a 5mm hook which gave me a finished square of 16cm x 16cm. I also used roughly 11gm of yarn.
